UNIPART GROUP MASTER TRUST OVERVIEW

The Unipart Group Master Trust (UGMT) is a section of the Legal and General (L&G) Master Trust and it provides defined contribution (DC) pension benefits.

A Master Trust is a pension arrangement designed for use by multiple different employers, which is held under legal trust and run by a Trustee Board. The Trustee Board are independent of the Company and retain decision making independence for all matters including administration and investment governance. The Trustee Board are required to act in the interests of all members (not themselves, any representative body or Unipart) and to ensure that all the members are treated fairly and equally. They work hard to ensure that your pension scheme is efficiently run and that it delivers you value for money.

Further details on the Trustee Board can be found in the L&G Master Trust Report and Accounts which can be found here or alternatively on the L&G website.

The L&G Master Trust was one of the first Master Trust’s to obtain authorisation from the Pensions Regulator under the Occupational Pension Schemes (Master Trusts) Regulations 2018 and is the largest Master Trust in the UK with over £7 billion of assets under management. The L&G Master Trust recently won “Master Trust offering of the Year” 2019 at the European Pension Awards.

The aim of the IDRP is to ensure that grievances are properly investigated and any disputes are resolved correctly, fairly and in good time. There are two stages to the IDRP and the relevant documents are available under Terms of Reference of the Operations Committee
