DORMAN TRAFFIC PRODUCTS RETIREMENT BENEFIT SCHEME OVERVIEW

The Dorman Traffic Products Retirement Benefit Scheme (DTPRBS) is a Defined Benefit pension arrangement that closed to future accrual on 31 December 2002.

The Trustee of the Scheme, Dorman Traffic Products Pension Trustees Limited, is responsible for looking after the DTPRBS and ensuring that the Scheme is administered according to the Trust Deed and Rules. The Trustee is required to act in the interests of all members (not itself, any representative body or Unipart) and to ensure that the members are treated fairly and equally. The Board of the Trustee comprises employer nominated Trustee Directors (ENTs) and member nominated Trustee Directors (MNTs). Further details are available on request from the Scheme.

DATA PROTECTION

The Trustee of the DTPRBS holds personal data about members in order to correctly administer and pay benefits. Following the introduction of the Data Protection Act 2018 the Trustee is required to make available details of the data that is held, how it is used and the safeguards in place to ensure this data is protected. This information is set out in the Trustee’s Data Protection Privacy Notice, which is available under the ‘Key Documents’ section on the right hand side of this page.

COMPLAINTS AND IDRP

If you have a complaint relating to your pension benefits or the service you have received from the Scheme Administrator, you should raise your concern with the Scheme Administrator in the first instance.

If, having raised your complaint with the Scheme Administrator, you do not receive a satisfactory resolution to your complaint and remain dissatisfied, the Trustee of the DTPRBS has a formal Internal Dispute Resolution Procedure (IDRP) available. The aim of the IDRP is to ensure that grievances are properly investigated and any disputes are resolved correctly, fairly and in good time. There are two stages to the IDRP and the relevant documents are available under the ‘Key Documents’ section on the right hand side of this page.

In addition to the IDRP, you have the right to refer your complaint to the Pensions Ombudsman. The Pensions Ombudsman deals with complaints and disputes which concern the administration and/or management of occupational and personal pension schemes.
